Walkathon Fundraiser

Mission: to raise fund in a fun and active way. Students will have ownership of their health and of raising money for Ginsburg School. By raising funds, students will see that they have the power to contribute to their school.
Purpose: Funds will go to new gym equipment, support for the after-school sports teams, and other school improvements.
How to register:
1. Register your child/student on mybooster.com
2. After you register, use the SHARE button. You can share you child’s link with friends and family through email, social media, and text.
3. The fundraise starts on Sept. 20, 2024 and goes until Oct. 4, 2024. The walkathon is on Oct. 4th. Find individual and classroom incentives on your child’s mybooster page.
🏃🏻♂️Please consider volunteering on the day of the walkathon. We need parents to man intersections to ensure the safety of the students as they walk. 🏃🏻♀️
Classroom Incentives:
Raise $150: Extra Recess
Raise $300: extra recess & Popcorn Party
Raise $700: extra recess, Popcorn Party & Movie
Raise $1000: extra recess, Popcorn Party & Movie and out of uniform day
Whole School Incentive:
Raise $3,500: Teacher swap
Stretch Goal: $4,000 – If we meet this goal, Mrs. Oleksy (and any other staff volunteers) will get slimed

Kids hit a growth spurt this summer? Closets a little crowded? Need a few new things to get started this year? We’ve got you covered!
Bring your no-longer used, school-suitable uniforms to morning drop-off or afternoon pick-up from Aug. 26 – Sep. 4. We’ll get them sorted and organized. Then join us on Sep. 5 from 4 – 6 pm to grab some new-to-you items for the school year, just $5 per bag!
All funds raised by Friends of Ginsburg go to support initiatives at Ginsburg Elementary.
Spring Parents’ Night Out

Winter Fest

Come kick off the winter holidays with the families of Columbus! Join us Sunday, Dec. 10 from 3-5 p.m. in the Columbus Elementary auditorium for winter themed games, ornament making, cookie decorating and more.
Cookies, hot chocolate and coffee will be provided, and you’re invited to bring cookies to share – please label ingredients for allergies!
All family members are welcome!
Past Events
Friends of Ginsburg has hosted many events over the years in support of Ginsburg. From holiday wreath and tree sales, to family movie nights out, to chili cook offs, the group’s aim has always been to build community and be a resource to the school’s dedicated teachers and staff.
